On April 29, 2026, the 2nd Northern German Capital Markets Forum took place at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. Under the theme “Northern Germany in Transition – Between Tradition and Global Upheavals,” experts discussed current economic, geopolitical, and financial challenges in the region. One of the speakers was Professor Timo Busch. In his presentation “Academia: 20 Years of ESG Finance: Academic Findings, New Impulses, Future Prospects,” he provided an overview of research in the field of ESG finance and highlighted key developments. The event was jointly organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Hamburger Sparkasse, Nord LB, and Finanzplatz Hamburg e.V.
