The Science Platform on Climate Protection ("Wissenschaftsplattform Klimaschutz"), an advisory body to the German federal government, has published a paper assessing the climate impact of the coronavirus economic stimulus package. The steering committee calls for incentives to be put in place to reduce emissions and encourage investment in research, innovation, and infrastructure that will help the German government meet its long-term climate goals. Prof. Timo Busch is a member of the Science Platform and is particularly in favor of mandatory climate reporting by companies and a set of criteria for funding decisions to steer investment flows in a climate-friendly direction
