In a guest article for Tagesspiegel Background, Prof. Dr. Timo Busch, together with Andreas Höpner (University College Dublin) and Lisa Breitenbruch (Advanced Impact Research, AIR), warn that the European Commission's proposed ESRS standards on sustainability reporting are jeopardizing its own sustainable finance goals. The significantly weakened requirements would undermine the EU's intended financing of the transformation to a climate- and nature-friendly economy.
