Young people in particular want to invest their money in an environmentally friendly way. But how sustainable are green investments and what should you look out for when choosing them?

The FNG seal provides guidance for investors. The holistic methodology of the FNG seal is based on minimum standards. These include transparency criteria and consideration of labor and human rights, environmental protection, and anti-corruption measures. Investments in nuclear power, coal mining, fracking, and weapons production, among others, are excluded. High-quality sustainability funds that excel in the areas of institutional credibility, product standards, and portfolio focus (security selection, engagement, and KPIs) receive up to three stars.

The funds are audited by an external, independent audit team led by Prof. Dr. Timo Busch from theat the University of Hamburg. In an interview with Morgenmagazin, Prof. Dr. Timo Busch emphasizes the independence of the audit process as a fundamental aspect of fund evaluation.

The results of the FNG Seal 2022 will be announced on November 25, 2021, during an official ceremony at Frankfurt's Römerberg.
